About Dr. Kraft
Dr. Jordan Kraft was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, but grew up in Austin, Texas. He attended McNeil High School and then continued on to Texas A&M University for his undergraduate studies. After two years he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science. From there, he was accepted into Texas A&M's College of Veterinary Medicine, where he focused on mixed animal medicine and graduated in May 2012 with honors.
During his time at Texas A&M, Dr. Kraft also spent his summers as a Veterinary Medical Scientist Research Fellow, and participated in research on RNAi suppression of retroviruses in vitro, as well as psittacine nutrition and behavior studies. Since graduation, Dr. Kraft has worked at a busy small animal emergency practice in northwest San Antonio. After proposing to his wife in May of 2013, he has moved with her to Lexington, Kentucky where he now works at a local Banfield Pet Hospital. Dr. Kraft shares his home with his wife, and their two dogs and cats. In his free time he enjoys hiking and camping, most recently backpacking at Yosemite National Park in May of 2013. |
